New York City Super Producer, Jinesis, is on the rise in the
realm of beats and breaks. Born Jermaine Jackson, Jinesis
breathes new life into old school tracks. A New York City
native, Jinesis was born in Queens, and raised uptown in
areas throughout Harlem and the Bronx. But If asked,
the Bronx is home.
It is also where he realized his love for creating music,
Taking notice during the hip-hop Golden era, Jinesis
was fed by the movement in the Bronx. Conversations
with many of his idols, including LL Cool J only added
fuel to the fire. For years, he has been dedicated to
perfecting the craft of making beats for artists.
Though hip-hop is undeniable in the forefront of Jinesis’ style, there is a fusion of genres that web in his execution. You can hear samples from an artist like JDilla, all the way to bands like Portishead. His musical range is serious. His diversity in song education is apparent. His sound is experimental and you feel the ‘art’ element to his work.
Over the last few years, Jinesis has been building fan bases internationally and domestically. Using the Internet as his main trafficking tool, Jinesis hustles. From there he has linked with artists such as QuesFire, Crisis, and Choo who have created songs for his tracks. New York City venues, such as The Pyramid, have played his work.
At the half-way point of 2009, Jinesis and German based producer Prickly Pear have already dropped two production installments, The Coffeeshop and The Coffeeshop 2. Both come after the release of Jinesis’ debut album Bonkers Vol. 1. Both can be found on his Myspace page, as is his contact information
